The Beginning

Many of you know me, but My name is Ryan Savaikie, I am 20 years old with a passion for fitness. At about 15 years old I simply began working out, but by 18 this quickly became a large aspect of my life taking up an hour five days a week. Five days became seven, one hour became two, and it went from an interest to a calling in a very short time frame. This lead me to pursue a career in the industry, so I quickly became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Fitness as a whole is my passion and a large part of who I am. As far as my interests in fitness go, I enjoy powerlifting, but prefer to stay relatively lean, straying away from the “donuts and deadlifts” style. I pay quite a bit of attention to my diet and training, and experiment with it often.  Anything from bodybuilding to crossfit to powerlifting to even TRX, I have tried it.

This experimentation really begain at the beginning of 2016, when I weighed roughly 230 lbs at 6’2″, and I DID NOT look good. (See picture below) I was unhappy and it was time to make a major change in my life, so I did.

I doubled down on training and diet, took it all serious and found what worked for me and what I liked to do. I missed under 30 days in the gym throughout 2016 and I lost a total of 50 lbs. All of this while increasing my bench, deadlift, and squat.


This trend continued and in March of 2017, I had lost a total of 60 lbs and was in the best shape of my young life. Weighing 170, I now had the abs I wanted, and was happy with my body for once. I still continue to try to better myself in and outside of the gym every single day. In the gym for two hours a day, and outside I often read or listen to podcasts for about an hour or two everyday.

This blog will feature fitness, nutrition, and my daily workout and diet for my current goals. Along with all that, it will offer some basic motivation and ways to get your ass in the gym. Basically it is all that I know and love! I will include tips along the way that will benefit anyone and everyone from the newbie in the gym to the more advanced gym goer. These tips will range from what is the best breakfast to eat daily for fat loss to how to engage your hamstrings on deadlift. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to help you out.
