An Hour a Day

You should study an hour on your craft

“One hour per day of study in your chosen field is all it takes. One hour per day of study will put you at the top of your field within three years. Within five years you’ll be a national authority. In seven years, you can be one of the best people in the world at what you do.”

-Earl Nightingale

Why?

If you do not want to be the best or strive to be the best, what exactly is the point of doing anything. Best meaning the best you, what is the best version of yourself and why would you settle to be a mediocre version of you? If you are okay with staying stagnant, that is fine, but understand that you will not fulfill your entire potential.

How?

  1. Become better by putting in the work every single day to do so.
  2. Set aside time to do this everyday.
  3. Do not miss.

When?

Start today and do not stop ever. I pride myself on being a student regardless of where I am at in life, and plan on continuing my education in every way possible. If you think time is an issue you are either bad at time management, or waste your time on meaningless tasks. Watch an hour less of TV, sleep an hour less, spend an hour less on your phone, there is definitely at least one hour in the day that is being wasted.

However, you can just not listen to anything here and stay mediocre, that is up to you.

Success is voluntary.
